Karley Ikat-Print Nappa Leather Blazer

Inspired by our longer Karly coat, the Karley blazer undergoes a series of artisanal treatments to achieve its distinctive finish. First, strips of nappa leather are cut by hand to create a vented pattern. Next, the leather exterior is joined with a printed silk gauze lining and stitched around the handmade cuts, creating a very unique and ethereal look. It’s printed with the season’s ikat-inspired motif, and features a shawl lapel and a belted waist. Prints and patterns from this season's collection are inspired by designs traditional to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and cultures throughout Asia. The interwoven global history of ikat techniques—from as early as the 10th century—holds cherished historical symbolism and varied origins across cultures in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
